A stock is a share of a company, meaning ownership. For example Walmart.
The idea of investing in stocks is to buy low and sell high.
By buying low and selling high, the investor will see a profit, the main goal of investing.
Investing takes care and patience, with a lot of effort and practice.
A share of stock fluctuates in price daily Monday through Friday, except for holidays. A stock also fluctuates based on the company's progress. If the company was to get a new contract, the stock would most likely go up. A stock pretty much trades day to day based on the company and its financial progress along with daily economy news.
